More Than Just a Vacation

In a few days I’ll be heading off to Ireland with my family for a two week stay in the South and North of Ireland. I’ve received lots of recommendations of things to see and do and places to eat, etc. but, for me, this trip isn’t merely a vacation, but a journey to the place where my ancestors lived.

It’s deeply spiritual, grounding, wild and inspiring to be traveling back to my homeland, and, instead of browsing Trip Advisor and Yelp, I’ve been lighting candles, practicing sacred ceremony and calling in my ancestors to guide me in where to go and what to experience. I have a feeling this journey may be one of the most deeply life-changing of my life, and I cannot wait to connect with the people, culture and nature that makes up this special island.

I’ve also connected with the Celtic Priestess lineage and know that this trip will spur a woman’s trip in the near future where we will dive deep into the sacred lands, practices and spirituality of the pagan Celts. I’m not sure exactly what this will look like, but I know it will be clear after my time in Ireland and I can’t wait to share it with our community.
